Dear Alan,
Congratulations! You have been accepted for induction into the PRSA College of Fellows. Your selection recognizes you for your exceptional contributions to the advancement of the public relations profession, the Public Relations Society of America and your community for more than 20 years. As a mentor and role model to professionals and students within your state, region, the nation and even internationally, you should know that less than two percent (435) of PRSA’s more than 22,000 members hold this status.
Please plan to join us in Detroit on Saturday, Oct. 25 during the 2008 PRSA International Conference, where we will formally induct you into the College. This year’s black-tie gala is being held at the Detroit Yacht Club. We hope you will make plans to spend the evening getting to know other members of the College, especially your colleagues in the Fellows Class of 2008. The evening includes:
• New Fellows Reception at 6 p.m.
• Induction Reception at 6:30 p.m.
• Induction Dinner at 7:30 p.m.
During the induction ceremony, you will be presented with your Fellows medallion. We encourage you to attend the following Conference events and wear your medallion with pride:
• Living Legends Panel. Sunday, Oct. 26 (featuring three Fellows)
• Annual Meeting of the College of Fellows, Sunday, Oct. 26.
• International Conference Masters Class “The Strategist and the Social Media” presented by the
College of Fellows, Monday, Oct. 27
• Leadership and Legacy Luncheon in collaboration with the PRSA College of Fellows,Tuesday,
Oct. 28
In closing, I look forward to the honor of inducting you into the College of Fellows and introducing you to our other College members. You will receive additional information about the induction in a few weeks. In the meantime, please send Heather Ritchey at heather.ritchey@prsa.org the name and address of your employer so I can personally inform this individual of the honor you have earned.
Again, congratulations on this significant professional achievement. It is well deserved.
Sincerely yours,
Bob Frause, APR, Fellow PRSA
